Summer Sucks Ass
I HATE SUMMER. I LOATHE IT.
I don't know how much more of this I can handle. I really do not understand how anyone can enjoy this weather. It is so fucking muggy out right now. You just walk outside and feel suffocated. I felt like I could not breathe.
Can we fast forward to fall? It's so much nicer. Cool and breezy. Ok I sound like a douche commercial.
Even though I hate summer I can say there are things about summer's past that I used to love. One is my favorite summer TV shows to watch. I know some people remember this one...
As you may have read in profile, I used to get up at the butt crack of dawn to watch Swan's Crossing. Rob thought it was coming out on DVD, but to my dismay it is not. Here is a fan site to tide you over in the meantime.
Aside from cheesy tv shows, there is the cheesy summer songs. My favorite is from my favorite band growing up. Someone out there has to have liked them as much as I did...
Yay! The Party! Love them bitches!.
I must get back to work. Huge project to finish. Joy.

Ponte el sombrero
Last Sat. we went to Café Ibérico, got drunk, then Circuit (hadn't been there in ages). It was actually packed because there were so many homos in town for the gay games. Sunday we went to Roscoe's for what was to have been a Sista M throwdown but it was so f*ckin' nasty and humid outside that I got this nasty headache and barely drank. To make matters worse it was super packed and it wasn't helping my feeling better. We did tons of shopping all week, with the obligatory trip to la villita so Chava could find some hard to find cds, Target, we even did some shopping in Boystown Sat. afternoon. We also had fun at the listener party that PNS Explosion had at Spin last Friday.
To send Chava away my Milwaukee Siter dragged us out to the burbs to go see Kristine W. (who was in town to perform at the closing ceremonies of the Gay Games) at Hunters. Scary I know. Aside from all the scary trannies and suburban gays, I have to say I had a blast. I'm a casual Kristine W. fan myself, but after seeing her perform I've had a change of heart...gurfren tore it up!!!!
Here are a few pics from her performace that I took:
I even uploaded all my Kristine W. cds to my ipod today! As you can tell from Eddie's gushing recap, Ms. W. really worked it and even played the sax and guitar while belting out her club hits. A highlight was she performed one of my faves, Lovin' You! I thought I was going to shart.
Afterwards there was a meet and greet, and after waiting for what seemed like an eternity, we were able to meet Kristine and pose for pics.
We did manage to pose for some pics ourselves...
Awwwwwwwww.
Forgot to mention we went to go see The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green.
Normally gay movies are either sad and someone dies of AIDS or they are about coming out. Basically bad and worse. But I have to say I really enjoyed this one. It was fun, and they poked fun at a lot of gay stereotypes. Plus hottie Diego Serrano was it. Grrrr.
So does anyone know when the hell this heat is going to end? I just can't stand summer heat anymore!!!!!!!! Because it's so hot out right now I can no longer write. Ta ta!

Godmother
First things first...last Thursday we made the trek out to Beverly, IL to see the one and only and very talented Tiffany. First of all I have to say I was really dissapointed in the turn out. I think there may have been 50 people there. Who cares though. I got to sit in the front row and jam out to Tiff! She did a rather short set but she sang a song off her 1993 Japanese only album Dreams Never Die called If Love Is Blind which caused me and Rob to queen out! It was f*ckin' awesome! Here are some pics from her performance:
It was a rather short show, only about 8 songs, but she did give it her all and some local girls came and sang Could've Been on stage with her. It was adorable.
After the show they had us line up for a meet and greet. Of course we were the first ones in line. As we approached Tiffany we both told her how happy we were for her coming again. We both had some items autographed. I proceeded to tell her the story of how we met at her show 3 years ago, showed her pics of us w/ her from the last show, etc. She was super sweet and congratulated us on our upcoming 3 year anniversary. We also dubbed her our Godmother which she happily pointed out to us:
She also told us that next time she's in town she better see us there and most importantly together :) We also blabbed about certain songs we love, which are often ignored (like Tenderly from her floptastic 1990 album New Inside). Before we left we got a picture taken w/ our Godmother. Enjoy!
So last Friday I went out w/ my friend Emily from work for her bday. We went to Ceaser's on Broadway. Awful food but killer margaritas. After 2.5 jumbo mango margaritas and 3.5 shots of tequila, let's just say I was happy. Her and I ended up going to the movies drunk. Something I've never done before. It was quite the experience. We went to see The Devil Wears Prada. I did enjoy it, but as we both read the book, we both felt that towards the end how it veered so much away from it, was rather annoying. But I adored the clothes and all that faggy stuff. Plus Anne Hathaway is really cute. I don't think I'll go to the movies drunk again as I kept nodding off towards the end!
So I think someone has to start watching Big Brother All-Stars. Want to know why?
Kaysar that's why! I swear he has to be the HOTTEST MAN ALIVE. My mangina is dripping wet just thinking about him!
Wow...I just realized this post is REALLY LONG. Guess that's what happens when you don't post in a week. I have to give a shoutout to my twin blogger. She came over last Sat. and we had a mini Degrassi High marathon. It was a blast. I think she knows more about this show than I do. School's Out viewing perhaps? Just need to order it.
I'd love to go on and on but I have some work to do as I'm off Monday and I need to get everything done by tomorrow evening. Still have to pick up around the house for Sal's visit. Ciao ciao!

Paleta
He loves to eat paletas! Further evidence...
But alas, all good things must come to an end.
The other day my good friend and hermana Robert stopped by (hadn't seen him in eons) and brought over his baby. They had so much fun together, Tattoo didn't want to leave :P
So tonight we are going to see Tiffany if it kills us! I already purchased the tickets for tonight's show. I'm super geeked! This will be my 2nd time seeing her, and technically my 2nd time seeing her w/ Rob. I just found out there will be a meet and greet as well afterwards. Now we can thank her in person for bringing us together. So I leave you all w/ another Tiffany clip...
This is the title track to her second album Hold An Old Friends Hand:
I have loads to do. Take care everyone!

Witness
I couldn't be bothered.
But something I did see on the 4th that disturbed me was a dog got loose and ran out onto the boulevard and got hit by a car :( Luckily it slowed down and the dog was able to get up, but I felt my heart drop as I saw it happen. I don't know if it got loose or someone was just walking him/her w/out a leash, but I'm just glad the dog was ok.
We didn't do much this weekend, as funds were tight. We did however receieve direct from Australia both Season 1 and Season 2 of Degrassi High!!! Lord knows when these are going to get a North American release, so we could not pass these up. Shipping from Australia was über cheap. Twin Blogger are you ready for our marathon??
So the other day I was thinking about a movie that I used to love back in the day. Ever see it?
Book Of Love was a fun teen comedy from 1990 starring Chris Young and Tricia Leigh Fisher (who I know Rob is a fan of). It also features one of my favorite crushes of all-time.
Danny Nucci is such a hottie! Does anyone remember the TV show he was on w/ Jason Bateman, it was based on the movie My Life With Guido. He's so hot! Now I must get myself a DVD copy of Book Of Love and fast!
I just found out that my life partner Weenie, aka Marlene just gave birth to her twins! Oh no! Dookie we're aunties and uncles! Oooooooh! Congrats sweetie!
Tomorrow we are going to attempt to see Tiffany again. She's playing in Beverly, IL at the Beverly Arts Center of Chicago. Hopefully we'll make it as Rob is still getting over a cold.
I should get going. I have lots to do (both work and home). Salvador is coming to visit us a week from Saturday!!! Can't wait to meet him in person :) I am sure I'll have many drunken stories to tell from his visit.
Peace out y'all!

Could've Been
Anyhoo, I'm taking a break from cleaning/unpacking (yes I'm still unpacking). I was on youtube when I found this...
Holy shit! Dino! I had such a crush on hiim back in the day. I even saw him open for NKOTB for my 13th bday (January 11, 1990) and I remember I even bought a Dino tshirt and poster! Ha! He was actually kinda greasy looking, but whatver, to a budding homosexual of 13 he was hot hot hot! Have a great Saturday everyone!
