Word has it that we'll be going out on Saturday to celebrate. Fun! Guess who's coming to visit??? None other than Slutty Butt herself, Kelly!!! Oooohhhh....she and weenie are supposed to come over Friday, so I am sure I'll have some stories for you all. And since I know Kelly reads this everyday, I just want to say Lifer! Lifer! What are water sports?.

Our dinner at Café Ibérico was yummy! Sangría...yummy! The weekend was pretty mellow. Why are they so short? Sunday rolls around and I dread going into the office the next day. Oh well. We found some killer finds at Maxwell Street on Sunday. Did you know that Brenda K. Starr recorded an album before her 1987 self-titled MCA release? Neither did I! I found it at Maxwell Street, and I love it! It's super trashy dance. I'll have to share some of the songs soon. Apparently it goes for $$$, but I can't part w/ it. Plus it was in mint condition and even came w/ a biography, so it's safe to say it was a promo copy. Woo hoo!

Do you guys remember this show?? She's The Sheriff was a bad 80s show I used to love as a kid. I don't really remember what it was about other than Suzanne Somers was the sherrif in some small town. I found this picture and had to post.

So my Denise López cd was deemed lost in the mail. I am so pissed!! I think I get off on finding these old acts and trying to track down their long out-of-print releases at reasonable prices. Uff! Did you ever see the video for her freestyle jam Sayin' Sorry (Don't Make It Right)?? Well if you have you may have noticed the hunk in the video is none other than a young Carlos Gómez. Grrr!

I just found out my favorite awful actress turned singer, Paty Navidad, is finally releasing a new album! She's awful but I love her. She's hot! Now I must get that darn Ninel Conde cd before it gets really $$ and hard to find.

I splurged and bought a bootleg Alaska y Dinarama DVD on ebay. OMG it rocks! It's got old clips from Siempre en domingo and a cheesy halloween special. It was well worth the $30 bucks I spent! Plus, get this, there are some skits of two teen girls admiring Alaska's look and one of them is none other than Stephanie Salas!! OMG I love her!

I've been meaning to post a song for the last couple of days. This is one of my favorite groups from the 80s. Click, they were kind of like a bootleg Flans but so much more trashy! You might know them from their hit Duri Duri. Check out Amerciano here. Rob was lucky enough to find this song for me on some high energy bootleg they were selling @ the mercado in Mexico City when we were there last May. Enjoy! They rock!

Amor Apache

Wow! Wow! Wow! All I can say is WOW! Gloria Trevi was awesome! It was worth being on my feet for 5+ hours (poor Rob got to the Aragon an hour before me). We had to endure a crappy opening act, her nacolicious chicago fan club (more on them later), but all in all it was so worth it. Unfortunately I did not take my camera (it was too bulky to hide) so all I could find was this picture from a show in Torreón from the Trevolución Tour in Mexico. So where do I start? I felt like I was 15 year old queen again the way I was screaming and jumping up and down, but I didn't care. Gloria was amazing. She's 5 months pregnant and was jumping around, screaming, etc. like there was no tomorrow. She has so much energy and you could so tell she was meant to be up on that stage. She sang material from all her albums and gave a 2 hour show that left me whoarse and my legs sore (I told u we were standing for 5+ hours). I can't remember the setlist offhand but some of my faves of the night were: Hoy me iré de casa, La pasabas bien conmigo, Amor apache, Como si fuera la primera vez. For those of you who still have a chance to see her on the US leg of this tour, do it! You will not be dissapointed. She was genuinely shocked at how hardcore the audience was. At one point she decided to test us by singing 'lesser known' songs acapella. Well she would start and we finished every single one. LOL! She was so impressed that she promised to come back and do a 3 hour show next time she's in Chicago. Here's hoping it's true. What a wonderful night. The only bad thing were her local naco fans who have a Chicago Gloria Trevi fan club. OMG! They kept chanting throughout the show, had on ridiculous outfits (homemade t-shirts, etc., feathers everwhere). They were scurry! Aftewards, we found a cab and we got drunk on margaritas :)

The weekend was pretty mellow. Chus has a new friend. Around the block from us is a gal that has a Lhasa Apso around Chus's age named Cosita. She let us in to her front yard and the two went to town! They were having so much fun chasing one another. It was so cute. I'll have to set up a playdate :) Later that night we hung out w/ my Milwaukee Sister and did damage at the Virgin Megastore and Tower! Oh no! We ate Pizza, had lousy service, and hung out. It was fun as always.

Sunday did nothing. It was so nice :) I did however watch some movies. Head In The Clouds was alright. And I watched half of a bad Mexican movies called Desnudos. It was very Televisa acting wise if you know what I mean. The only good thing was this hot ass actor in it named Juan Vidal. He looks like a bootleg Charlie Massó!! Yummy! I must find out more about him.

When I come back from Mexico I have to start looking for a new job hardcore! Or maybe even a new career? We'll see. It's not too bad right now. I have to fill out my self-review today, who comes up w/ these things? Hope everyone is well.

Tomorrow is the Gloria Trevi concert! I can't wait! The last time I saw her was when I was 15 at Soldier Field @ Viva México. Wow...I'm old. That was 13 years ago! Gasp! Shock! Rob is super excited since he never saw her before. I personally am going to enjoy this one so much more. I can't wait! Will I be the loudest loca there? It'll be tough w/ all the nocas (remember? naca locas) there.

So I totally missed the Fangoria chat last night! Ughh! Damn military time always confuses me! However...I did read the transcript! Alaska is friggin' hilarious. My favorite comment was when they asked her about Thalía's cover (or shall I say blasphemous cover) of ¿A quién le importa, they replied: NO lo hemos oido, a Alaska le han puesto un poco esta mañana en la radio y le parece muy Thalia. LOL! I love the last comment...le parece muy Thalia. LOL! Also Milwaukee Sister, they love Moenia's cover of "Ni tú ni nade" :) Since I had a few request for an Alaska song I decided to post one of my favorite remixes. Not sure about straight girls, but many gay boys I know (I myself am guilty of this) buy CDs we deem cute boy selections. You know what I'm talking about. A cd that you probably will never listen to but you have to have it cause the guy is so hot! I am guilty as this past weekend I won on ebay a copy of one of Bobby Pulido's cds!!! Damn is he hot. If I had a pussy it would be wet just thinking about him! Lol! Grrr...check out that ass!

Not much else going on. But...Friday is the Gloria Trevi concert!! I shall listen to her to get me pumped :)

Huracán mexicano...

Fangoria are doing a chat tomorrow night on esmas.com! Woo hoo! Maybe I'll stop by if I don't have to work late. They are also releasing Arquitectura efímera in Mexico on April 12...and they will be performing at the 40 Principales concert at the Plaza de Toros México on April 14!! How cool!! It's about friggin' time they release their stuff in Alaska's homeland! I think the last time was when Fan Fatal came out (Alaska y Dinarama's last album from 1989). I wish I were in Mexico for that.

Pretty mellow weekend. It's too sunny out. What's going on? I don't do well w/ heat, sun, etc. I like gloomy weather. Not necesarily snowing, but gloomy. Like when it's raining. I love it when it rains. I know how goth. Lol! Must be all those years of listening to Robert Smith. I did make dinner Friday night. Spinich pasta and meatballs! Yummy! I don't feel like writing any more right now. I have to call Mexico and get a hotel. Until we meet again...

Lookout weekend here I come

Thank god it's Friday! I just had an awful week at work and I am so glad it's over. My boss is totally working my nerves and I have to really find a new job. I think it may even be this industry. Am I sick of Graphic Design? I'm bored is more like it. I thought about dabbling in Interior Design, but now that I think of it, it's probably just the same bs, just in a different format. So it got me thinking, every time I am in a meeting I am doddleing something. 9 times out of 10 it's a woman's face. Maybe I should get into becoming a makeup artist. I think it would be fun. Or would it be too faggy? Lol!

Did you guys watch the spectacle that was ¡Selena Vive! last night? I had to watch it. It was like watching a carwreck. First of all it was beyond boring. All the acts on there (with the exception of Barrio Boyz) never even worked w/ Selena. At least Bobby Pulido (I'll get to his hottieness later) and Jay Pérez at least came from the same genre/scene as her. Can we talk about the performances? I don't know who was worse Thalía or Ana Bárbara? They both suck ass live, and it was evident as both of them clung onto each and every breath! Dio' mío! I loved India it would have been nice if she would have thrown down w/ a rendition of My Love (my favorite Selena song; did I mention it's so freestlye!! You'd think Sweet Sensation could have recorded it!). A boy can dream. Alejandra Guzmán was great as well. But everyone else. Boring. What's up w/ Soraya's hair? Speaking of hair when did Abrahm Quintanilla get a bad toupe? Getting back to Bobby Pulido...OMG he's hot!! I love me a man in some tight blue jeans. Did you see his package?!!!!? Se mojaron los calzones al verlo. Lol!

London Express

I have been so busy at work that I have not had time to update my blog (forgive me I do have a job). Hope you're all well! Every morning I still come in and read all the blogs I have linked here, hoping for updates. So I apologize to those that actually do care about mine. Went to Milwaukee this weekend and did mostly family things. Stopped at Bryant's w/ my cousins and their crazy friends. It was fun. Had Rocky Rococo's :) All is well. Trying to save $$ for my trip to Mexico. If only I didn't have all these bills.

Last night my girl Lluvy got eliminated from Amercia's Next Top Model. She's such a pretty girl but when she's in front of the camera, it just ain't happening. Now that she's gone I still am rooting for Keenyah but now I am really digging Brittany as well. She's just so trashy I can't stand it! So yes my Wed. night is taken, don't you dare call me from 7-8pm!

Last night we also watched Spanglish. I really liked it (though it was über long). I love Paz Vega so it was niec to see her on screen again, and I loves me some Tea Leoni. It was nice to see Cecilia Suarez as well (Mexcian actress in films such as Sexo pudor y lagrimas, Todo el poder, etc.). It came from the director of As Good As It Gets so that must explain why I liked it so much.

So I had to share this über tacky image I found of Carmen Salinas and Irma Serrano from the 70s (at least I think judging by their outfits). It's trash-a-riffic!!! Thought all you regulars at Quiero ser santa would enjoy it :)

Not sure if there are any fans of Wild Orchid out there, but my fave of the three ladies, Stefanie Ridel, has just lent her vocals to DJ Rain's song Just Another Day. You can here it here on DJ Rain's myspace page. With all the focus on Stacy 'Fergie' Ferguson since joining the Black Eyed Peas, it's nice to hear something new from Stef.

Are you ready?? Elan is finally releasing a follow-up to her masterpiece Street Child!!!!!! They've updated her website and added tons of features. You must check it out. Her new album entitled London Express is available for pre-order on her official online store as well as a new version of Street Child containing a previously unreleased track So Happy (though they've omitted Another Woman in its place). I can not begin to tell you all how excited I am about this new album. Over the past year Elan has become one of my favorite singers and her debut has not left my ipod, cd player, etc. ever. In fact she's the most played artist on my ipod. The album will ship on April 28. Better place my order fast! Talk to you all later.

Out of Control

Do any of you remember a show on Nickelodeon from the mid 80s called OUT OF CONTROL??? It starred Dave Coulier(aka Unlce Joey from Full House). No one remembers this show! I know it was on, look there's even a website for it!

We're off to Milwaukee this weekend to help cleanout my parents storefront so they can rent it out. I'm hoping we can stop at Bryant's for a drink (it is the best bar in the world!!!). I hope we also get to eat Rocky Rococo's, it's the best!

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! Guess who released a new album?? If you didn't guess already, he's pictured to your right. I adore this man (Javier García) and have been wondering what ever happened to him and hoping to God he would record again. My prayers were answered!! I found out accidently by browsing itunes. Anyways I purchased it yesterday and am giving it a spin as I type this. I hope it's good. His debut is gonna be a hard one to live up to. If you're interested in it, click here. This is his first album since his debut in 1997.

I have a trip to Mexico in May. Kind of last minute but I will be in Durango the second week of May. I will be going w/ my Mom but I have to be w/out Rob + Chus for a week :( It's going to be tough. I've only been apart from either one a day at the most. At least I can go CD shopping.

I found some killer finds on ebay and my sales are going well. I got $50 for a Thalía out of print CD and $42 for another out-of-print cd by Yuri!!! Woo hoo!! It paid for Chus's vet bill today! Yes!

Ok as I promised...here it is...Chrissy I-eece "You Should Know By Now". Tell me the similarity w/ India is not eerie! Leave your comments and let me know what you think. I personaly love it and can't stop listening to it (all while annoying Rob). Sorry :P

Tranquilo

I don't mean to delay my updates, but life sometimes presents obstacles. I had some this weekend, but I am not going to get into that right now. Things are better though. We didn't do anything for Easter, but we did however take this adorable picture of Chus with his Easter Bunny! We couldn't get him to stay still so Rob had to hold him because he was more interested in beating the crap out of it :)

Fangoria are touring! Spain only right now, but they are going to México in April to promote the release of Arquitectura Efímera. In Spain meanwhile they are re-releasing the album and redubbing it Arquitectura efímera deconstruida and it will contain the regular CD, a CD w/ remixes and a DVD w/ all the videos and some performaces!!!! Check out this graphic for their new tour in Spain. God I wish I could go! They are fucking amazing live. Just to bask in Alaska's glory again. Sigh.

Since I am in a Spanish mood, I thought I'd post this new pic of Marta Sánchez looking extremely hot in her photo shoot for Maxim Spain. I'm liking the shorter hair. Will we ever see her go dark?

So I have a new freestyle obsession! Her name is Chrissy I-eece and I swear to God her and India must be related. Pictured at left is her only album, a Salsa album from 1992 I believe, and tell me she does not look like India in that picture? That's not all. She sounds JUST LIKE HER!!!! Omg it's scary!! Turns out she only did some freestyle singles (like 12" only) and never a whole freestyle album. I'm obsessed with her now! And to top it off one of her songs, You Should Know By Now was written by Marc Anthony and produced by Little Louie Vega (who is India's ex-husband). Eerie!! I'd upload the song but I don't have access to the mp3 and I forgot my cords to my ipod since I have a bootleg program to extract MP3s. Tomorrow I guess. BTW check cout this site as it's the bomb. Freestyle Divas, they feature all my broads there and it's where I found out more about Chrissy :). TTFN.

Hungover

So I haven't updated in awhile. I was out of the office these past two days. I stayed home cause I was sick. Not much going on otherwise, just trying to catch up on what I missed. As for the weekend...

Friday night we went to see Bride & Prejudice. It was alright. I didn't love it, nor did I hate it. I loved Gurinder Chadha's last film Bend It Like Beckham (I swear I know every line by heart), so I guess it was hard to live up to.

Saturday was the bday throwdown for my Milwaukee Sister. We had a blast! I got super drunk! Yeah! I don't remember how many mango margaritas I had nor how many blue motherfuckers I drank at Roscoe's. But I do remember they played all our broads in the videobar :) Hope you had a blast Sista M! I know I did. We even ate drunk pizza at the Pie Hole (isn't that an awful name? Lol!). Yummy.

Sunday we decided to go to Maxwell Street and get some hangover food (aka Huaraches). We had 2 each! Oh no! But they were sooooooooooooo good! So again we found all kinds of deals there. I bought (get this) on DVD She-Devil & Elvira Mistress Of The Night!!!! But my true treasure of the day was finding on vinyl Appolonia 6 the single for Drive Me Wild by Vanity 6 and this Vanity solo single that has an oddly large picture label on both sides. One side has Pretty Mess and the other Mechanical Emotion! Check them out...

After Mawell Street. I started to feel rather icky. Not to metion I was SUPER hungover from Eddie's bday outing. So I ended up staying in while Rob took care of me and I watched all my DVDs I bought plus Wonder Boys. Did I mention these only cost $5 each? Love Maxwell Street!

Monday I woke up really icky w/ a sore throat and just felt all achy. So I stayed home and by Tuesday I still didn't feel any better so I stayed home as well. But we did sneak in some CD scavanger hunting :) Found some cool stores where we got some steals and some long sought titles as well! Kiara for $5! Woo hoo!

Today I ordered some stuff from Spain. Why is shipping so damn expensive?? It was more $$ than the actual items I purchased. ¡Joder! I must leave you all w/ my song of the day. I have been searching for this mix forever!!! I saw a drag queen perform as Bibi Gaytán years ago at Circuit and she did this remix of Mucha mujer para ti. I was finally able to download it on Limewire. So for all of you enjoy this Bibi remix!.

Sista M Day!

So today is St. Patrick's Day, but I've decided from now on Feb. 17 will be Sista M Day!! If you haven't guessed it by now, it's my Milwaukee Sister's Bday! We are gonna go out Sat. to celebrate and get Trashy Kathy! Happy birthday Sista M! May Toy be with you on your special day :)

America's Next Top Model is so good right now! With that one broad fainting last night *thud* and the wrestler revealing she's bi (aka a lesbian)! Gasp! Shock! Horror! Duh is more like it. Anyhoo...last night's pics were fabu. I have to say based on last night's photos my top 3 are Keenyah (love her since ep. 1!!), Lluvy (she has the most unique face of all the contestants) and Tiffany (she looks gorgeous w/ her extensions, reminds me a bit of Naomi Campbell). This season is gonna be good!

Anyhoo, I've been on such a freestyle kick lately. I just love it. It's so campy and so awful. I was hoping to locate a copy of Shana's debut I Want You. But it goes for a ridiculous amount on amazon.com!! $80 is the asking price. Holy shit Batman! This genre is gonna make me poorer than I already am. Lol...like that's possible. Turns out this gal is now doing country music and living here in Chicago! How fun! Maybe we'll stalk her and force her to sing I want you, I want you so bad I need you.... Thanks to the lovlies at SayHey! I was able to download the entire album!! What would I do w/out them??

Before I leave I had to share this w/ you all. My twin blog forwarded this to me and I was laughing so hard and loud here at the office that my coworkers came over to see what all the fuss was about. It's funny, wrong?, but so true. I've seen so many chaches (aka cholas) throughought this city sporting the Sharpie Brows...

19 months and couting...

Today is our 19 month anniversary. We're going on 2 years this August. I don't want to sound mushy or anything, but I have never been this happy in my life. Someone who not only understands all my quirks and more but appreciates them! So to celebrate I've chosen to share song w/ all of you that I dedicated to Rob when we first started dating. Blast from the past

La Garrota, aka Martha sent me this pic last week. It seems like ages ago, but in reality I think it's about 5 years old. Wow! I remember cause I had just moved to Chicago and they (Claudia, Martha, Santi) came to visit me. I think it was at the Palladium. Memories.

Haven't blogged in a few days. Not too much going on. My mom & dad visited on Saturday w/ 2 of my cousins. Was nice but I was exhausted cause I had gone to bed late the night before. Sunday Rob and I went to Maxwell Street. It's been awhile since we've gone (it's been freezing). Found some CDs (I got a Rocío Durcal CD I had been looking for) and after we found another new CD store not too far from our house. I know you must think we have an addiction. Well we do! So what!

Before I forget I am whoring some old used CDs since I have to pay some bills (aren't I always??). If you are interested in what I am selling visit my ebay listings page. I am also selling more of Rocío's postcards & calendars.

Not much going on this week but Saturday is my Milwaukee Sister's bday outing! I can't wait. I know he reads this so I am just forwarning you Eddie that you better bring a mop with you on Saturday. Hint. Hint.

Trevolution

I've been meaning to tell you all this, but in case you didn't know, Gloria Trevi is going to tour the US and she comes to Chicago on Friday, April 15!!!! Tickets went on sale like 2 weeks ago and I was not aware :( It was to have taken place at the United Center but today we found out it was moved to the Aaragon (a standing-room only venue as opposed to seating United Center)!! I got two tickets for Rob and I today. I can't wait!!! Last time I saw her I was 15 or so and it was at Viva México here in Chicago @ Soldier Field. So who's going?? It's gonna be a blast. I can just see all the nocas (naca locas) now!

Slumber Party weekend!

Sorry I have not blogged in forever. Lately it's just been harder and harder for me. Laziness? I don't know. Nonetheless, here's my update. Rocío left for Mexico yesterday :( We'll miss her, but at the same time it's nice to have some alone time. For her going away her boss had a dinner party Friday and let me tell you, we drank! Don't ask me how many glasses of sangría I drank! It was a blast!

Saturday we had our postponed slumber party w/ my milwaukee sister. it was fun!!! Eddie came over and we had our traditional Taco Bell meal :) We made Blue Motherfuckers. I don't remember how many we drank, but they always taste better after you've had 4 or 5. Lol! While Rob was making Rocío some mix CDs, Eddie and I got restless and decided to start playing a Freestyle drinking game! We watched videos and everytime they said boy or love we drank! You should have seen us during Sweet Sensation's Love Child! It was a blast! Somehow in our drunkeness we also decided we needed to start our own freestyle drag show (as there are none in Chicago). We finally got around to our official drinking game of the night. We watched several episodes of The Simpsons and each picked a character and everytime our character appeared in a scene we had to drink! What fun!

The day after took Rocío to the blue line to go to O'hare. The three of us headed over to the Mega Mall (how ghetto!!) to look for rare cd's and also went to Disco City, where I finally purchased Daniela Romo's newest. The rest of the day was spent being lazy. It was a goregeous day, like 60º out, but we were so tired we really didn't do much.

That was our exciting weekend. Today I overslept so I was late to work and my whole day feels off. Oh well. Before I forget I wanted to let you know that I am selling on ebay, a calander and set of postcards that Rocío and her girlfriend produced! Check it out HERE.

Hello out there in bloggerland! I am so sorry my posts are becoming less frequent. Work has been driving me crazy, if you hadn't realized already. My last entry was last Sunday. I had to work, on a Sunday mind you. Sucked. I was here til 6pm. Monday was pure hell. I was at the office til almost midnight! I wanted to cry! I am really sick of advertising. I've been at this place for over 5 years now and I just feel so drained. Career advice anyone?

Since I've been working so much I haven't really done alot this week. Saturday we went to Lola's and had a blast! I had like 3 huge Long Island Ice Teas and smoked too many cigarettes, but it was so much fun! Believe it or not it was our first night out since Rocío got here. She leaves next Sunday so I figured we better get a move on it! Yesterday I woke up w/ a nasty hang over, but we managed to paint the extra bedroom (aka Rob's playroom) and the front vestibule. Looks hot! It's like a purple/magenta. I think I really enjoy decorating. I know that sounds so gay, but hey. What can I say!?

Yesterday the Oscar's were on and honestly I really don't care one way or another, I think I actually only watched the last 20 minutes of it. I was more pissed that Desperate Housewives were not on. Back to the Oscars, I just like to see what people are wearing. But I am pissed I missed my goddess Salma Hayek &

Penélope Cruz presenting together! Check them out. They look stunning!

BTW what the f*ck was Hilary Swank thinking when she chose that dress? It was horrendous!! It looked like she got dressed in the dark? Looks like something an 80-year old ballroom dancing champion would have picked. ¡Guacalá!

Now a lot of you were asking what happened between Martika and I? Well it's a very long story and I am still drafting it up. Needless to say my childhood idol wasn't who I thought she was. Sad really. Hope you are all having a lovely day. It's snowing out. Normally I'd be jumping up and down w/ joy, but I am too tired to care.

Long overdue...

Work has been so hectic. So hectic that it is SUNDAY and I forced myself to take a quick break and write! Have I told you all how I hate my job? This doesn't help it any. To top it off they brought us lunch. Pizza! I had pizza for dinner last night (it was junk food Saturday). Aside from my work fiasco, Rob was sick w/ a very high fever but after some new drugs it is back down to normal and he's feeling better. Yay! Also took Chus for his follow-up and he seems to be doing great in getting back to normal. The Vet was pleased w/ his progress. Yay!

I just stepped away from this to go to a meeting. I feel like the biggest ass right now. Everyone HATED the work I presented. It just sucks because everyone and their mama was in there. Anyhoo I am not gonna vent anymore, I'll just get back to my regular blogging...

So last Tuesday I went w/ 2 co-workers to a taping of OPRAH. I am personally not a fan of Oprah nor of her show. On occasion I'll watch it. I just figured the experience would be cool and when I was told Hilary Duff would be the guest, well I couldn't say no! I just love her to death. But...upon arriving late and finding my coworkers in a room full of women w/ gucci suits and big hair, I found out there were 2 others guests on the show as well. Guest #1...

GWEN STEFANI! She was great! She looks gorgeous in person, is a lot taller than I imagined and was just very genuine and down-to-earth. Guest #2...

ENRIQUE IGLESIAS! My god he is skinny! Super tall. I saw him years ago in concert when I worked at a paper in college and I reviewed his show. Of course they asked him about that tennis bitch, Ana whateverhernameis, he seemed very nice as well. He just looks so much better in photos than in person. Anyhoo...onto Ms. Duff...

She was just so adorable. Very pretty in person and was just so sweet. See one day after work I flipped on the Disney Channel and Lizzie McGuire was on and ever since I've become addicted to it! I can't get enough of it. So I was more excited about her than the other guest. But overall the whole experience seemed so rushed! It was cool seeing how they filmed the show, how they literally hauled us all into the studio (it's A LOT smaller than it looks on TV), filmed flawlessly and got us out of there. No Oprah After The Show as we were the morning show and there was still a taping of an afternoon show. I was pissed that we didn't get anything for free. Not even CDs! Whatever! BTW the show topic was stars making their biggest fan's dreams come true. It is airing this Tuesday (Feb. 22...check your local listings for time).

I'd write more but I have to get back to work. Someone find me a new job...NOW!!!!!!

Happy Vday

So it's Valentine's Day. I woke up this morning and didn't even realize it. Mostly because tomorrow is our 1.5 year anniversary. To me that is much more important than another Hallmark Holiday. Everyone have a good weekend? Hope so. Nothing much went on this weekend. My mother came to my financial rescue so I am no longer poor until Friday. Thank God! We caught the mouse!! Technically a mouse trap did, and technically Rocío got rid of it for us. But what are technicalities? We did watch the first 16 episodes from season 1 of Arrested Development. I loved it! What a great show! Can't wait to see more of it. Depserate Housewives was on! Yay! So some of you were asking about why Martika is no longer my fave anymore...it's a very long story but I will get into it in another post. Only a couple of more days until Oprah. I will post more later. Hope everyone is well :)

Ashes

So yesterday was Ash Wednesday. I wouldn't have even known had I not seen a man w/ a big black smudge on his forehead. It made me realize how far removed I am from my catholic upbringing. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just that it's funny how quickly we forget these things. I guess attending catholic grade school and high school can do that to a person. Explains why I'm such an evil person :) Then again, I've come to find that all products of catholic schools are! Joy!

I had to share this funny story. Well I guess you had to be there, but as we were getting on the train to go to work in the morning Tuesday, the doors open and this woman who looked about as strung out as a crack whore at the free clinic yelled to the gentleman waiting to get on MOOOOOOOOOOVE. It was hilarious. Everyone on the train was like what the fuck was up w/ that psycho biach???. Guess you had to be there.

I am still waiting for my damn security deposit! WTF??? I need that money...like last week!! I just left another message. But in other news, you guys have to check out this new blog that Glennys told me about. It's hilarious and pretty much pokes fun at certain popular Mexican celebs. I can't get enough of it. The graphics this guy comes up w/ are hilarious (check out the Thalía dolls)! Besides any blog that uses a picture of Lynn Maye is fine by me. I think it's become my favorite blog (sorry Trent). Weekend Warrior

The weekend went by very fast. Saturday we had to take Chus back to the vet because there was blood in his urine. They kept him there, took some xrays, etc. He was fine. They just made his medicine stronger. We were freaked out. He's doing much better, back to his normal self :) Only downside is the vet can be very $$. My paycheck is pretty much gone from this and having just paid rent. I should be getting back my deposit from my old place any day. So I hope...otherwise I'm fucked!

In other news our friend Rocío arrived yesterday. We're having fun and she is an amazing cook! Rob and I are in heaven. Chus loves her as well, so all is good :)

I know yesterday was the Super Bowl and what not, but in my über-gay world it really means nothing to me. But it made me remember my old crush, former Packer Mark Chmura. That's him to the left. Grrr. I have absolutely no idea what his role was on the team, but I just remember how hot he was. There was all this hoopla a few years back because he had sex w/ a minor (hello look at hime). I remember I was like, damn I'd go to jail so I could be his cellmate. Anyhoo that was years ago (mid to late 90s). So While I was looking for a pic to post, I found out that he was just recently found NOT GUILTY. His trial just finished! Jesus Christ I thought it was over years ago. Shows how much I pay attention to things.

My coworker just got three tickets for the Oprah Winfrey show. She's asked me to go along cause...get this...the guest is HILARY DUFF!!! Lol. I love her!! She's so cute. I've watched every episode of Lizzie McGuire. I'm so excited!!! Just wanted to share w/ everyone. Ta-ta!

Stinkin' Patches

Our baby was sick! We took him in yesterday since we believed he had a urinary tract infection (aka uti). Our suspicions were right. He had to have an antibiotic shot and he is on meds for the next 2 weeks. Poor thing! But doing much better.

So what is on TBS this morning after I come back from walking Chus?? TROOP BEVERLY HILLS!!!! I LOVE this movie. I had to stop myself after a half an hour otherwise I would have stayed on that couch til it was over and would have been late to work. Mental note to self: buy this on DVD already!

Last night my Milwaukee Sister came over and we had our traditional Taco Smell meal. He also gave me my birthday present!! He got me the Sasha remix single from Spain of La cucaracha w/ remixes by Pumpin' Dolls. So to thank him and share the love, here it is. This is from her latest album Por un amor.
